[Opinions] Calluna?
Ages ago, I was looking for an alternative to a made-up name that I fell in love with: Callula or Callulah. I never really found anything that compared, but still couldn't bring myself to use a made-up name.Anyway, I recently came across Calluna, which is the name of a plant. What do you think?

It sounds like a combanation of Calla and Luna. They are nice names so I guess it is good.

I think Callaluna could be usable, as in Stellaluna, but with Calla. I think Callula is okay, too, though I bit scientific botany name-ish.

That's cool! I also like that it can be shortened to another plant name (Calla) or Luna.

Calluna is pretty, but it doesn't really seem terribly superior to Callula. Although Callula/ Callulah is a newer name, it is simple to spell and pronounce since it is very similar to Tallulah. In away, couldn't Calluna have been considered made up at one time since it was created by combining Calla (beauty) and Luna (moon)? Personally, I do slightly prefer the sound of Calluna over Callula, but why not go with the name that you really prefer? Here a few similar names that you might like as well.

Calogera

I really like Calluna. She's among the many Luna names on my list, but keeps slipping nearer the bottom somehow. I think it's a very beautiful name. Incidentally I did consider Callula too, as a less popular alternative to Tallulah, and I think I partially convinced myself for a while that the not so accurate sites had the meaning and validity right. But when it came down to Calluna won. It definitely has a very pleasant sound, and is particularly useful to honour a Heather. I feel the Call- beginning has lots of energy and bounce, whilst Luna is softer and gentler; a good balance.
