[Opinions] Lisea?
I once read that Tre Cool from Green Day (no, I'm not a fan, although I remember liking When I come around) had a girlfriend (or wife?) whose name was Lisea. I don't know why, but the name just came to me that other day and I've been thinking about it. Where does it come from? How do you pronounce it? If it's pronounced li-SAY-uh, I actually like it, but not if it's pronounce LIS-ee.
Maybe it's a bit too close to lycée (college in French), but I don't mind.
WDYT about Lisea?
Does the sea exist
Because of our longing?

I would think that it would be pronounced like Lizzy. It's cute.
Lisea pronounced the way you like is fairly nice just not my first instinct.

It looks like a variant of Lisa. I would pronounce it like you do. I much prefer Linnea. Lisea really does look made up. LIS-ee would be kind of awful for Lisea. Like a really horrible misspelling of Lissy or Lissie. Lissea or Lisséa might be better. Not sure. They look more authentic maybe because they are closer to Linnea. Or even Lissaea (Linnaea). The sound isn't bad but it doesn't feel authentic.
I don't think the pronunciation is clear. I want to say lee-SAY-uh, but it could also be LIH-see-uh, LEE-see-uh, lie-SAY-uh, or lie-SEE-uh.
Maybe Lisaya? Lisaea?
I'd just avoid it.
