I don't like it. It doesn't sound like a name.

Pom from BabarDid anybody else read Babar the elephant books? His son was named Pom. I like the nickname, but Pomegranate is too goofy for a person's name. It'd be good on a pet, though.

Very silly! I'd go for Pomona or Proserpina instead

Nooooo :( One of my favorite fruits but it doesn't make a nice name at all. I know the pronunciation is different but I also think of the word granade. Pommy and Poppy? Gran Granny ;) Meg, Meggie?

Not a good name, unless you're one of Strawberry Shortcake's friends.

No. Just.. No. pomegranate would be a cute in-utero nickname, but terrible as a name for a human.

The in-utero nickname is a really cute idea!

As a name? Absolutely awful. Far too clunky for actual use, and doesn't have a nice sound aesthetically at all. Nicknames all sound silly - Pom? Granny? No good. Can't take it seriously even hypothetically. Using it in reality is just asking for a lifetime of teasing and jokes. I can't imagine coming around to the idea of it as a name in any amount of time. It simply does not sound like a name. I couldn't even accept it on a fictional character. Just Say No to bad names.

Cool word, but too much for me as a name. With the right first name I think it could be ok as a middle, though -- provided there's a good story behind it.
