I saw an off-Broadway production of the play Therese Raquin. There is a male Camille in that play, and his name was pronounced exactly the way you described.

I've never met one in real life. Only in that play. I kind of like it, but I don't think it works in an English speaking context, so I could never use it. Also, the character in the play would be a very undesirable namesake.
