[Opinions] Cressida
What do you think of Cressida? Any middle name suggestions? Thanks!

It's got a very 1970s-in-the-UK feel about it. I've never met one, but it sounds so pretty that I'd be inclined to avoid it. Maybe it's a latent superstition, like giving a child a name that's ugly or has a bad meaning so the gods don't get jealous and kill it. But I think it's just too risky. A Cressida with limited social skills, bad skin and boring hair would be much sadder than an Emma or a Lily similarly equipped - just because there are so many of them, one can't form an impression of a "typical" Emma or Lily, but a "typical" Cressida should really be poised and dainty - a state to which few can aspire.

I don't really like the 'cress' sound and even though I love Cassandra, I think Cressida sounds too self aware. In real life I'd probably feel differently though.I'd want to pair it with something more simple sounding and friendly:Cressida Amy
Cressida Rachel
Cressida Fay
Cressida Claire
Cressida May
Cressida June
Cressida Laura
Cressida Joanna
Cressida Joy
Cressida Blythe
Cressida Louise

I really like Cressida. I would consider using it but it creates a strange rhythm with our last name.Cressida Belle
Cressida Maeve
Cressida Faye
Cressida Violet

I can't like it because it makes me think of lettuce. Very strongly. A picture of huge green leaves of lettuce bursts like firecrackers in my mind whenever I hear Cressida. And I can taste them too.
