[Opinions] Nicknames for Athena
Can anyone help me come up with nicknames/shortened forms for Athena?I can only think of Atty (which I hate) and Thena (which I'm also not keen on).

It doesn't have one. If you want to call her by a nickname I would suggest you choose another name all together. Athena just doesn't have any nicknames that work. Yes, you could call her Annie or Thea, but in my opinion that is a huge stretch and doesn't make too much sense, it feels forced. If you wanted to call her Thea you could just name her Thea and if you wanted Annie then Anna or Anne would make much more sense. All the nicknames that don't feel far fetched are kind of unattractive such as Athy or Thena. This is just not a cute name that comes with nice, sweet nicknames. If you want one, I would think about considering other names.

I don't think it requires a nickname at all. In fact, I think it's far better without one.

Keeping in mind that Athina is the modern Greek form and that -th- can sometimes kind of sound like -d- or -t-....Addie
Dee (or Tee or Thee)
Dena (or Tena, Thena, Thina or Tina)
Nat or Nath (as an anagram of sorts)
Nattie (or Natty)
Nena (or Nina)

Annie

?Athena is one of my all-time favourite names, btw. I don't think it requires a nickname but if it did I'd go with Annie.
