What do you think of this name? Do you prefer it or Lydia? Do you think a girl named Lydie would end up having to correct a lot of people who assume her name is Lydia or Lily? Thanks!

I prefer Lydia,and if she is introduced as Lydie I'd assume people would either think of it as a name on its own or a nickname for Lydia

It seems a bit childish, so personally I would use it as a nickname for Lydia rather than a name on its own. Lydie is cute :)

I like Lydia better, most people who correct it to say Lydia anyway.

Yeah, I don't think anyone wouldn't think her full name was Lydia. Explaining that would get old really fast. Plus, Lydia sounds so much better anyway.

I think it's awful. It looks and sounds like an old-time chambermaid's name. Lydie and Nora and Addie and Mamie. Ugh.

I prefer Lydia with Lydie as the a nn only. I adore both names!
