I like the Lachlan spelling. It has a nice ring to it.

I met an English Lochlan the other day. I like the Lochlann and Lachlan spellings best.

The only spelling I like is Lachlan. The name, in a vacuum, is very nice. IRL, however, it seems to require an owner who is well over six foot, tosses cabers and, preferably, plays lock for Scotland. So I wouldn't use it!

Hi !!!So...
This name was originally Scottish but it is a nickname for a Norwegian person.. and it is used mostly in Australia???How strange name!I like Lochlann where the word loch is visible. The variant with a is the most common but seems incomplete compared with the original one.
