In Chaucer and Shakespeare, Cressida isn't exactly a role model, though she is a survivor. I like it much more than any possible form of Briseis! My problem with it is that it's a car - Toyota Cressida, I think. Not sure if they are still in production, but who wants to be named after a car?

My probem is similar..

Cressida is very similar to the Italian word "clessidra" which means "hourglass". I'm trying to decide if it is a good association or not.

Hourglass is somenthing related with time and somenthing mysterious as well like the past. Cressida is very related with Mythology and past Literature so it could be a good link.

I've always loved Cressida! I don't think it sounds strange at all, other than that it's uncommon. It gets an eight in my book :)
