I love Sixten, I think people in Canada would think it was just a creative spelling of sixteen so I'm not sure I'd use it.

Probably it's because the time is right. Sixten has passed the first stadium, "names your parents have", the second stadium, "name your grandparents have" and reached the third stadium, "names that were popular about 100 years ago and are fresh to rediscover".I love Sixten because it's my cat's name! (Although we spell it Zixten.)

I love Sixten! I'm not from Scandinavia, though; here in the United States, most people would probably conflate it with "sixteen." This is especially tragic because I love Sixtine even more than Sixten.

A very intriguing name. The obvious first impression is "six." But a sexton then comes to mind followed by vaguely papal imagery. Layers of interesting vibes. Love it. Sixten Julius? :0)

At first it looked like a typo of Sixteen. I think I prefer the Old Norse form Sigsteinn.
