Don't care for it. It's very trendoid.

It's not my style, however I know the cutest little girl (a little over a year old) named Berkley, so I have a certain fondness for it. Her middle name is Millicent.

Fine as long as she never goes to the UK! Like Tisiphone said, 'berk' is a term for idiot. Also Berkeley Hunt is cockney rhyming slang for something quite rude and offensive! I'm sure these connotations wouldn't be a problem elsewhere, though.

'Berk' is a term for idiot where I'm from. It would be a terrible name for either sex!

Even if that weren't an issue, I think it's quite ugly and more masculine sounding. Isn't it also the name of a famous university? I think that would be problematic
