[Opinions] Ignatius
I keep coming back to Ignatius... I really really love it, but I really wonder if it's too much for a little kid. Most people seem to really like Theodora's name, but we have had a few funny looks (and one very rude comment). It hasn't bothered me at all, but I think Theodora has a bit of a more familiar sound to it (because of Theodore). Is Ignatius just too much for a little kid? He could go by Iggy, but honestly I really love Ignatius by itself.
What would you think of the name Ignatius on a child? Do you think Ignatius & Theodora sounds nice together?

Sorry, but it reminds me too much of the word "ignorant". I love Inigo, though.

I like Ignatius as well. And if Theodora isn't too much, then Ignatius isn't either. I would love to meet and Ignatius, and I think it might be a little more familiar than it used to be thanks to Harry Potter (there's a character named Ignatius Prewett)

I'd like to hear of a little Ignatius, and it goes well with Theodora. I'd probably expect the parents to be Catholic though.

Ignatius just sounds pretentious. I also don't think it goes well with Theodora. Perhaps as a middle name?

I like Ignatius in theory but I would never use it in real life. I do see it as a bit much.

I like Ignatius. It's got spunk and works well with Theodora imo. I think I would have liked being named that (if I'd been a boy), so I wouldn't say it's too much for a little kid, but I imagine some people would dislike it. It could go either way depending on the person, but most uncommon names are like that.

I think they sound great together - Ignatius is really on par with Theodora. And I've always had a soft spot for it. I'd be pleasantly surprised to meet a little Ignatius; it's endearingly grand.

I LOVE Ignatius. I don't think it's too much at all. And, should it feel a bit heavy there is always Iggy, Nat, or maybe even Gus.Theodora and Ignatius as siblings would be perfection. I also like the saintly connection.

I really like Ignatius and a name I would definitely like to use in the future , I think it is handsome name and it is quite different but I don't think in a bad way, just not as common as some names. Iggy is a cute nickname and works well for when he is younger but I think Ignatius is fine by itself. It goes well with Theodora.

He could be Iggy or Nate. I do think it goes nicely with Theodora. I think it would be a more challenging name to grow up with, and is a lot, but he'd grow into it.

Iggy I could live with, Nate.. not so much... lol

If you couldn't live with Nate I'd push it to the middle. I can see a kid deciding to use that on their own.

Maybe Ignatius could be his middle name?

I probably couldn't use Ignatius as a middle name because his second middle name would be Stewart. So Ignatius Stewart has the ss sound together
