If you had to name your son either Cody or Corey, which would you choose and why? It's acceptable to use the spelling variations Codey and Cory if you prefer.

Me: Aauugghh this is painful because I hate both but that's what makes it fun: Cody, because although I hate its rugged cowboy thing, it doesn't sound like nothing the way Corey does.

I don't like either. Cody feels like a female name to me, even though it is unisex. I guess Corey then, but not a fan of either name. I would go for another short "c" name, such as Claude, Casper, Calvin or Caleb. Those are more my style.

Corey is smarmy to me. I've always loved Cody, though I doubt I'd use it. I suppose I like the Wild West vibe thing. Huh. I also like the sound.

Ugh, this is an awful choice. I don't like either.

I'll go with Cory because I've known several pleasant Corys and Cody is very redneck to me.

Both are horrible.

I prefer the sound of Cody though, and if possible I would spell it Codi or Codie.

Oh Corey all the way. Cody is just repulsive. It's the name of an idiot. I'm always amazed when I meet one. To me, it's not even a matter of taste. I'm just flabbergasted that anyone would name his/her child such an obvious dumbfuck of a name. Might as well name him Douchebag.

At least the sound of Corey is pretty. I hate it, but it doesn't sound like a goat bleating like Cody. I remember as a kid liking Corey for girls. I'm pretty sure it was a minor trend for a while.

(Cory seems female to me)

I guess I think of Corey Hart! lol. I wear my sunglasses at night.

Neither one is quite surnamey to me, even though they're surnames. Corey seems less cutesy to me, though. Cody is too Buffalo Bill, too characterish seeming for me.

Corey. Never been a huge fan of Cody, maybe because I'm related to one (my aunt, actually, who was born in the '60s) and I'm too familiar with it.

I think Corey is cute but I don't mind it on a grown man. Just a name I've always liked.

Cody. My boyfriend and I have this name picked out for a future dog.

But we will probably call him Codingsworth because we add -worth or -ingsworth to everything we love.

Honestly who are these people who name their sons these things? I guess I think Cody is a little nicer, phonetically. And the meaning is friendly: "helpful."
