Oh, well, I asked. It's generally a good idea to keep names you have emotional attachments to away from the Opinions board if you're the thin-skinned type. ;)

It's actually kind of cute when you approach it strictly as a nickname for a little girl. I think she'll outgrow it. She does have a real, completely different name to go by. But if not, it will be because she wants to be called Dewey, and if she likes it, that's all that matters.

LOL...that second one actually frightens me.
Yeah, I know she'll outgrow it, eventually. For now, it makes her unique and it suits her personality. I guess people would have to see her in action to know what I mean.
