[Opinions] Re: Sophia or Seraphina? (more)
in reply to a message by Perrine
Serafina/Seraphina: After knowing an array of Sophias, Sophies, Saffiyahs in school, and this being among people who were born when Sophia was less popular, not only does Sophia get my popularity radar whirring, but I actually have a reason for it. The only aspect of the name I really like is the meaning. Serafina has a hint of magic, whimsy, and darkness, plus it reminds me of Serafina Pekkala from His Dark Materials, and that adds some wonderful imagery to the name. It's not my favourite name, but better than Sophia I think.
Serafine/Seraphine: Again, less popular but just as gorgeous imo. I have this as a middle and love the feel and image.
Serafina/Seraphina would be my favourite. I prefer -ina endings for some reason. I have a feeling it might get a bit more popular as an unusual but not too weird option.
I'm not a fan of Serafima. I'm just not a fan of the sound. I have Serafia on my maybe list, along with Serafina.
