[Opinions] Diana

I don't much mind Diane with a French pronunciation, but when it's dye-ANN it bugs me.
Diana is very beautiful until it turns into Di. So I'd only ever consider it as a mn. Plus, I'm probably the only person who never fell for the charms of Prince Charles's late ex-wife, so it's got a negative memory built in.

Diana is pretty although I'm not super fond of the English pronunciation (die-AN-uh). I worked with a woman from Costa Rica once who pronounced it dee-AH-nah which was lovely. The name will always remind me of Diana Spencer which isn't such a bad thing. I don't find Diana dated at all whereas Diane seems quite dated to me.

I like it! It's a little dated, but not so much that I think it's an issue. Obviously the Princess comes to mind, and I much prefer Diana as I'm not a fan of Diane at all. That's dated for sure. Maybe with the release of the Wonder Woman film the name will rise in the charts! It does have a similar sound to Olivia, Sophia, etc.
I like Diana more because of the Wonder Woman film. It felt quite dull before, but it feels more badass now. I'm still not 100% convinced (it just doesn't sound very fun when I say it) but I can maybe see that having an impact. Diane still feels very dated to me, and doesn't have the Wonder Woman or goddess connection to help.
I really like Diana, it's glamorous in a classic kind of way and I don't believe it will ever truly become unfashionable.
Diane feels much more dated.
