I don't like Snezana because it reminds me of "sneeze".

I love Eira. I'd consider using it (if it wasn't too matchy with my daughter's name). I say EYE-rah. Which is just the Dutch pronunciation for this letter combination. I like that it isn't common but not overly weird or anything :)

Snezana is okay. I went to school with one. She was in my brother's Russian class and coasting as it was her first language.

I would pronounce Eira like Ay-rah (with a rolling R). It's cute, a bit simple for my taste. Snezana is not my cup of tea either, though I like the meaning of both names.

I LOVE Eira! I pronounce it like ay-ra. I don't like the eye-ra pronunciation at all.

Snezana is a common name in Serbia and I've worked with a Snezana nn Nena. The way the Z (Ž) is pronounced is a sound that doesn't exist in English.
I don't like the sound of it.

I really like Eira both the Welsh name and the Scandinavian name.

If the name is Welsh I pronounce it Eye-Rə and if it's Scandinavian I pronounce it Air-ə.

I don't care for Snezana, as other have pointed out, it just too close to the word sneeze in english, however in its native language I'm sure is lovely.

I think it's cute. It's also a Nordic name meaning "mercy", apparently. Eir was the goddess of medicine.

I really like it. It's on my list but often overlooked. I prefer the AY-ruh pronunciation; much prettier imo. It's unusual, and has some beautiful imagery as a result of the meaning. I've never heard of Snezana before. I like the -zana ending, but I don't find the Snez very appealing.
