[Opinions] Sunshine
I went to school with a girl named Sunshine. No one made a big deal out of it and it was like any other name. What do you think of the name?

i don't think it matters if a name sounds too "hippie". hippie names are fun and show appreciation for nature.Sunshine is a cool name, the only downside is all possible irony like. if a Sunshine was depressed. or something. literally the only downside though, imo.

Sounds like a stereotypical hippie name.

I don't mind it, but then I do like quite a few of the more "hippy" names!

There is a girl at the school I work at named Sunshine. It sounds like a total hippie name. Actually I think it's good name for a horse or cow.

I think it's too cutesy-cute. But I'd rather be a Sunshine than a Rain. (That sounded like a Simon and Garfunkel song, right? :))

I love it! I briefly considered it for my daughter's middle name. It would've fit her, but I'm not actually that daring irl! I knew someone with a daughter Nora Sunshine, which I thought was one of the most beautiful names I'd ever heard. I'd like it as a double first name, but otherwise think it makes a better middle name. unless you happen to like Sun or Sunny as a nickname, but I do not.

As my grandson would say, "What a bunch of hippie-dippie baloney!"

I also knew a girl named Sunshine; she went to summer camp with me. She usually went by Sunny.

I knew a girl name Sunshine as well. She was my neighbour's niece. I always thought it was strange and too hippie-dippy. The right personality could definitely rock it though.

I like it, but then I'm really into names that are inspired by nature. I think it could work for a boy, too.
