[Opinions] Fiamma / Fiammetta
Replies
I’ve had Fiammetta on my list for years, but I don’t think about it much. It is a wonderfully stunning name with a great meaning. I have Fiammetta Rosalind Clara as a combo. I’ve never considered Fiamma, but I’m feeling drawn to it right now. It feels richer and darker almost than Fiammetta, which I really like.
I obviously like Fiammetta and would use it... Fiamma is too wordy, and doesn't have the connection with Boccaccio.
I've only heard this as a last name before. As far as I know it isn't used as a first name in Italy, but I don't see why it couldn't work.
I love it! I'd never use it, of course, unless the character I was naming was Italian (no kids, no plans to have any), but I love it.
