How can you imagine a real Benedetta or a Benedicta?

They're the same, aren't they? Benedetta is the modern Italian version of the Latin Benedicta. I could easily see an Italian woman (elderly, Catholic) named Benedetta. Benedicta seems historical to me, like it belongs on someone born centuries ago.

I thought that Benedicta were simply its feminine..

So you don't use amy feminine variant for Benedict?

Here in Italy is the oppisite...
Benedetta is a common used name also in these years while Benedetto...is very very dated! Out of top200...

Don't like both, but if I'd have to choose, I'd pick Benedetta, it's a little lighter in sound and I like a few names with -etta ending. But even though this ending is so feminine, I think Benedetta isn't, but Benedicta sounds even less feminine and very harsh for me. I associate them both with nuns.

I much prefer Benedetta. It is less harsh and it doesn't sound like the name Benedict which is such a masculine name. I tend not to care for many masculine names that just have an a thrown on the end to make them into names for women.

I love Benedetta! Benedicta is fine but much less winsome than Benedetta, in my opinion.
