Brief Bio: I grew up in the Midwestern United States. I am the middle child of three boys and was raised by my father and step-mother after the death of my mother when I was two. Family is the most important part of my life, but I am also dedicated to my work as a counselor where I primarily assist families going through divorce. I met my wife in undergrad and we got married the weekend after our graduation. We moved to the Northwest to attend graduate school and ended up remaining there to get jobs and start a family. We have struggled with infertility and feel that now is the time to adopt.
Three Hobbies: Cycling, reading (mysteries and thrillers), writing (poetry)

Brief Bio: One of six children, I left my small childhood home in New England as soon as I could to attend college in the Midwest. I studied classical french horn in my undergrad, and I met my husband after he attended one of my concerts to see his roommate play. We hit it off and got married immediately following graduation. We moved to the Northwest so Sam could get a master's in Psychology, and I decided to pursue a master's in Social Work the next year. In addition to my work as a social worker in private practice, I play in the local orchestra and teach a few private french horn students. I have always wanted children, and after trying for several years we have decided that adoption is the right choice for us!
