Last night I read a horror story in which on of the characters was called Nalene. I've never seen this name before, but I think I like it. Guess it's a variant of Nolene, which is rather nice, too. Nalene made me think of an old favorite that I (*gasp!*) had forgotten to add to my list. Nalini. It means "lotus" and I think it's so beautiful and serene!

I like Nolene a bit, although I much prefer another name - Noelene - to it. To me, this E changes it quite significantly, maybe because I like Noelia, Noelle etc. Not a fan of Nalene and Nalini, although I love lotus so Nalini's meaning is really really lovely.

Nalini is cute. I also like Nolene, it reminds me of Noelle. I don't really like the spelling Nalene.
