[Opinions] Re: Lula and Reign?
in reply to a message by Evey
I actually thought your subject line referred to a Hollywood celebrity sibling set.
I'm not a fan of Lula. I'm not sure how to explain because there is somewhat of a culture gap, I'm in the US. Anyway it's like Stella or Poppy, self-consciously informal, and a shade too much so for my personal taste.
Reign isn't my thing either, because it's spelled as a word about ruling, which gives me a feeling like it is referring to some kind of unconventional religious belief system. Or else it's supposed to subliminally make people feel like the person has something to do with authority or royalty, like when a person is named Sir.
Rayne or Rain would be less unappealing to me.
That's my personal reaction, but I think the names seem normal enough among current BAs, and would not be hard to bear or anything like that.
