What are you thoughts on Ottoline and how is it traditionally pronounced?
Could Oli or Lottie work as a nn?

Frankly, it just looks like someone stuck a feminine suffix onto Otto. I'm not a fan of names that do this (Adamina, Thomasina, etc.), I like a little more originality in names.
According to the etymology, this is supposed to be a diminutive of Ottilie, anyway. I think Ottilie, nickname "Tilly," is 10x better!

I love Ottoline! I pronounce it "OTT-uh-leen."

There have been so few people with the name that I'm not sure there is a 'traditional' pronunciation. But for what it's worth, Lady Ottoline Morrell pronounced it OT-uh-leen and so does the only other Ottoline on wikipedia: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cs94wGB1ZzM

The funny thing about Ottoline Morrell is that people began to refer to her as Utterly Immoral. Not a great name endorsement, lol

I don't care for it right now, but might some other time. Ottilie is much, much more agreeable, and what pretty name it is.
Ottoline just seems like a name-nerd nerdy name to me: some weird Edwardian antique invention that never took off because it didn't make life any better, like the electric table cloth (it's a real thing!).
You could maybe get away with Lottie or Ollie.

I'd like to buy an ottoline ...
It would be nice to have something soft to prop my feet up on.
Sorry, but Ottoline sounds exactly like an ottoman, only maybe poofier and possibly frilly-trimmed.

My go-to pronunciation is always OT-toh-line, but I have heard OT-toh-leen.
It makes me think auto-line. Like automobile assembly line. I don't love it.
The nicknames are a bit of a stretch, but you could get there. Nicknames don't really have a limit, imo. I do think that if you do want to use those nicknames there are better, more obvious names you could use, though.
