[Opinions] Primavera
Hi !!!
WDYTO the name Primavera?
It means 'spring' in Italian.
Its pronounciation is pree-ma-VE-ra.
It is really rare in Italy. Infact no more than five babies/year are called as it.
But I think it is a very sweet and bright name.

I think it's beautiful.
I immediately think of Italian-restaurant dishes, too. But I think if I saw it as someone's name, that wouldn't be too distracting. Especially because I know it means Spring. It would just seem eccentric, like the name Spring does in English too.
I think even if not for the food association, the name would be a little bit too long for my taste. Also I can see Latin for first and true in it, and that makes it seem even less like a name.

in the US ...
It's very common on Italian restaurant menus. Fettuccine primavera is a popular dish. So it would not work too well as a person's name.

Agreed. Its a pasta over here.
It makes me think of a type of pizza my mother told me several times about. According to her, it was the best pizza she ever had. I have yet to try it.
So yeah, I just think of pizza or at least some other Italian influenced food.

It's a very yummy dinner. Not so yummy of a name.
I know it means spring, but my first thought is pasta primavera, which is a pasta dish with lightly cooked vegetables (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pasta_primavera) that appears on most American Italian restaurant menus.
