I honestly thought this was a male form of Barbara when I looked at it and I'm not gonna lie- I'm a little letdown.

So I would have liked it as a male Barbara, but as another female form, I don't like it at all.

As Ninor has written, Barbro is an old-fashioned name here. It's common - I had a play school teacher called Barbro - but it would be very rare to see it on a little girl.
I like Frida because I am a big fan of Frida Kahlo, but Frida is a bit too common here and I also have a cousin Frida, so I wouldn't use it.

I think Barbro is hideous.

Frida is nice.

Some years ago, in the US, there was a pretty famous racehorse called Barbaro, and that's what I think of right off when I see Barbro. Misspelled horse name. It also maybe seems like something a Barbara would start calling herself during a rebellious phase back around 1969 or something.

Frida is instead a lovely name in my Italian list because it is also used here. I adore its simplicity, elegance and its meaning of peace!

I really dislike Barbro. It's a common name here for women 60+ of age, so to me it's dated and quite harsh sounding.
Frida is also a very common name, but more so in my own age group (20-30)

I like it. It’s a pretty, offbeat version of Barbara.

Sounds like an alternate term for a drinking buddy. ;)

I don't like it on a person, but it sounds cool. I would name a dog it, I guess. Frida is also pretty.
