[Opinions] Jesse WDYT?
I am having my first baby in July and according to my scans the hospital are pretty sure that I am having a girl, but as my little sister Keighley was supposed to be a boy I want to have a boys name picked just in case the baby is really a boy.
I think I have picked Tatiana Ruby for a girl, but I have always liked the name Jesse for a boy.
I was hoping for some opinions on Jesse, be honest.I know that there are boys in America named this, but I live in England, do you think it would be ok in England?
Thankyou
:)

I love the name Jesse, it's great. I can't see why an English boy couldn't be called Jesse, no problem there.

No help on the England part, I live in the US. I LOVE the name Jesse. It is actually my little brother's name, but I would love it anyway. I can't imagine that it wouldn't be an okay English name, too. (BTW, I'm just DYING to live in England.)

I think it is really nice and very underused for boys these days. Jesse is a really strong name with lots of history so I say go for it!btw I love Tatiana Ruby! Good choice!

I think Jesse is excellent...for a boy. I think it sounds cutesy for a girl, because on a girl its only history is as a nickname for Jessica, whereas on a boy it has biblical history. So I would not use it for a girl. Tatiana is much nicer, I think.*edit*
I just looked back and read through the other responses, and I'm a bit confused. Do you want to use Jesse on a boy or a girl? I think it's excellent on a boy, and would make a great brother to Tatiana. I'm personally fond of the combo Jesse Patrick, I think both are just such strong, wonderful names. It's definitely my most common/popular combo (by about a mile), I just can't get over how handsome the name is.

I love Jesse... my mom's friend almost named her baby Jesse, but then ended up naming him Matthew instead, unfortunately. I live in America, so I don't really know what they think about Jesse in England, but for what it's worth I think it's a great name. :)

I'm biased, but I LOVE the name...it's my husband's. The only problem you might encounter with naming your little boy this is that sometimes people try to spell it "Jessie"....which to us is the shortened female version of Jessica. I think it's a great, solid, classic name, that would be great to use in the U.S. OR in England!

Personally I love the name Jesse but would never use it as where I live the phrase a big Jessie is still used now and then, its meaning is a weak effeminate cowardly man or a wimp.
