[Opinions] Jesse WDYT?
I am having my first baby in July and according to my scans the hospital are pretty sure that I am having a girl, but as my little sister Keighley was supposed to be a boy I want to have a boys name picked just in case the baby is really a boy.
I think I have picked Tatiana Ruby for a girl, but I have always liked the name Jesse for a boy.
I was hoping for some opinions on Jesse, be honest.
I know that there are boys in America named this, but I live in England, do you think it would be ok in England?
Thankyou
:)

I like it a lot for a boy
I think Jesse is excellent...for a boy. I think it sounds cutesy for a girl, because on a girl its only history is as a nickname for Jessica, whereas on a boy it has biblical history. So I would not use it for a girl. Tatiana is much nicer, I think.

I just looked back and read through the other responses, and I'm a bit confused. Do you want to use Jesse on a boy or a girl? I think it's excellent on a boy, and would make a great brother to Tatiana. I'm personally fond of the combo Jesse Patrick, I think both are just such strong, wonderful names. It's definitely my most common/popular combo (by about a mile), I just can't get over how handsome the name is.

jesse if for a boy, if the baby is a boy
I have no idea what conotations Jesse has in England, but I think it is a wonderful name.
I'm biased, but I LOVE the name...it's my husband's. The only problem you might encounter with naming your little boy this is that sometimes people try to spell it "Jessie"....which to us is the shortened female version of Jessica. I think it's a great, solid, classic name, that would be great to use in the U.S. OR in England!
