Poor child. What do you think of Payge? How bad is it? The girl was about 6.

Considering I don't even like Paige, I definitely dislike Payge. It has such an ugly sound, and this spelling doesn't even look good either.

Just like the others have written, the spelling indicates that it should be pronounced PAY-geh. It looks a bit like a Yiddish diminutive form of a longer name. I don't even like Paige, and Payge is even worse.

Paige is okay, but Payge makes me want to say it with a hard G sound.

Isn't Paige a strange name there?
It has the same sound of 'page (of a book)'. How people doesn't find Paige funny? Or maybe it has a different pronounciation?How about Paige used on a boy?
Is it still used?

The name is so common to the connection to the word is rarely thought about unless being intentionally brought up! Paige is rare for a boy, and generally thought of only as a girls name!

Makes me want to pronounce it as Pay-Gee, instead of page! Paige and Page are far better spellings, heck Paege is even better than it!
