[Opinions] Lucy
Thoughts? (Not as a nickname by the way) What names would you suggest as a middle name; Anything come to mind?
Thanks in advance. (:

Hi !!!
I've always found Lucy a sweet, delicate, ageless and feminine name.
The most important think of it is its sweetness and elegance.
I always think of it making ties with powder pink and white colours. Sometimes I also associate it with sapphire blue because of a snowy night. I think of the snow as Saint Lucy is the 13th December.

sort of charming. Not my favorit full name, I prefer Lucia.
I love Lucy! It's a fave of mine, but was already used in the family (as a mn, but still!) and is super popular here in Australia. Some of my fave combos are Lucy Pearl, Lucy Grace, Lucy Hannah, Lucy Charlotte, Lucy Matilda, Lucy Martha, Lucy Jemima, Lucy Violet, Lucy Talitha, Lucy Alice, Lucy Ada, Lucy Evelyn, Lucy Esther, Lucy Miriam and Lucy Arielle.
I would have named our first daughter Lucy, except that for reasons I cannot explain, she just didn't look like one.
If she had, I'd have used the mns that I did use - the names of both her grandmothers: Lucy Beatrice Mary
Other possibilities:
Lucy Antonia
Lucy Belinda (a bit sugary)
Lucy Caroline
Lucy Deborah
Lucy Elizabeth
Lucy Frances
Lucy Georgina
Lucy Harriet
Lucy Imogen
Lucy Jean
Lucy Joy
Lucy Karen
Lucy Michele (honouring)
Lucy Margaret
Lucy Noelle
Lucy Olivia? Not sure
Lucy Rebecca
Lucy Rachel
Lucy Suzette
Lucy Tessa
Lucy Victoria

This particular opinion is not widely held, so I don’t think you need to worry about other people making the same association. Still, I have to voice it.
I can’t stand it. It’s probably my most hated name. It sounds like a combination of “juicy” and “loose” which makes me think of the lady parts of a disreputable woman. It affects me the way the word “moist” affects some others.
I’m really sorry.

I have mixed feelings about it. It's pretty (I also like the variant Lucia), but at the same time it's a bit bland to me. I'm not sure if I associate it with a younger or older woman, either. I don't know if I'd personally use it, but it's a good, solid name.
Love it. I think it’s sweet and vintage-sounding. Real charming. I’ll add some mn ideas later. (-:
I really like it, either as a nn or on its own.
