Katarina is gorgeous, and it was in my Top 10 for a very long time (currently, Katharine is). It has always retained a princess vibe to me, but not a super girly princess. Like, a princess who goes on adventures. I think Kat fits best as a nickname.

I love it. One of my great-grandmothers had this name.

I think Katerina is a really pretty name. I love Kat as a nickname, too. I've always been a pretty big fan of Shakesperian names though.

I infinitely prefer Katrina, but Katarina is okay, as long as it's pronounced the same way Katrina is.

Why would Katarina be pronounced the same way as Katrina? I've never heard Katarina pronounced any other way than KAT-uh-ree-nuh (whereas Katrina is kuh-TREE-nuh).

I figured because they looked similar, they'd be pronounced similar, too, I guess. Sorry.

Never met a Katarina. I like it fine, but prefer Yekaterina, although you may not like it. Katy is a pretty cute nickanme.

I think it's pretty. Much more interesting than Katherine, but maybe not as down-to-earth as Katrina.

I like it, but prefer it spelled with a ‘c’.Very pretty. :)

It's a common name here. I think it's rather pretty.

Fine as a mn, but its clunky rhythm and sheer length count against it as a fn.Jane Katarina Smith
Joanne Katarina Smithson
