DH was adopted from China by a Jewish couple from Los Angeles at the age of 1. He had a heart defect that was fixed when he was brought to the US. DW was born in Beijing and came over to the US with her parents at the age of 7. The two met in college while both studying pre-med at UCLA and now are happily married with three beautiful children, although sometimes they experience culture clash due to their upbringings.

After their only daughter spent most of her life single, DH & DW were ecstatic when she met The One, married, and gave them the two best grandchildren in the world. Unfortunately, a few months after their granddaughter was born their daughter and son-in-law died in an automobile accident and left them to care for the two children.

DH and DW were thrilled to find out they were expecting a second child and nearly fainted when they discovered that their second pregnancy held not one baby but two!
