Arielle was my number one girls' name for years but lately I prefer Ariana or Aurora (incidentally a Disney name but I was more grouping it here for the "Arie" nn). I do still love it and have a soft spot for it. The combo I used to use a lot was Arielle Jade which I now realise sounds like a 15 year old naming a baby. I liked Joiya's combo of Arielle Cate actually.

As for Ariel, I like it as a GP. It has a cool look to it and a Biblical reference but a boy Ariel in Australia would definitely be teased. Even a boy Ari I would worry about. If it's the same where you are, you could always go with a strong fn like Carter Ariel.
