It looks and sounds very masculine. Not realizing that this was a feminine name, I was originally going to say that I prefer Alfric.

I like it in theory, but maybe as a middle name. It reminds me of Frigg too, which I also like.

The meaning is nice but I just can't get past how much it looks/sounds like a tryndeigh variation of Africa (which I know is a possible Anglicization but one that I really cannot get behind when used by a white person).

I like it and the modern version, Africa (although that brings the continent to mind).

I prefer Africa. Prior to a quick Wikipedia check I'd never heard of any popular modern person named Aifric but there appears to be a few writers and a short lived Irish language television show called Aifric.
