I really am not a fan. It sounds like 'merrily' and seems both trendy and dated, which is rare in a name.

That's funny. A long time ago, in the course of my work, I spoke to a woman named Merilee and asked about it then and for some reason it came to mind just the other day and now here's your post.

Anyway, I like it. More than I like Mary, that's for sure. It's merry.

I've toyed with the idea of Merrily as a middle name—I think it's cute and sounds namey. I'm not a fan of the spelling Merilee.
