[Opinions] Blaine and Bailey
For twins. WDYT?For 2 boys or 2 girls? Or a boy/girl set? I like that they have the same letters switched around, except Y and N, but they don't sound too much alike. I think a set of boy twins with these names would be adorable. Of course, I am biased, as I've always loved the name Bailey, and Blaine is the name of a dear friend of mine.

Definitely boys. Only thought they could be girls after reading your second line.

I know a married couple named this and BLAINE is the GIRL and BAILEY is the BOY!They're cute. They have a kid with an unusual nature name. HERON

I don't like the names, sorry. Blaine sounds like a disease (probably I'm associating it with chilblains and the word bane) and Bailey sounds like a dog (I used to work with dogs and met a lot of dogs named Bailey, esp. in the 90s) and reminds me of the word baleful. If it's a girl I think even Baylee is nicer than Bailey. Or even Baylea, like bay leaf without the F! I'd rather see Blair and Basil (like the herb). F & M or both M.

I'm not to keen on either name on its own, but even less so together. Same initial letter, same initial vowel sound and spelling, both with an l in there - it's too much, far too much.

I prefer a name like Blaise. And Blaine is okay, but like I said I like Blaise more. Bailey is more feminine but I don't particularly like it.

Not a fan of either, sorry. They’re trendy and dated and too similar. My first thought is that these kids would have been born in the early 90s, to very young parents who didn’t have enough life experience to realize the complications such similar names would cause.

They sure are similar. Maybe too similar even for regular brothers. You made a very good point. Thanks!
