[Opinions] Trexten
Replies
Awkward. Trexen would be better.
Ugly as sin.
1st thought: It's better than Tripp.
2nd thought: My cousin named his son Paxton just a couple days ago, and it reminds me of that.
3rd thought: I kind of like that Trex reminds me of 'trek' and 'trekkies'.
I agree with most of what mirfak said.

A really unpleasant cluster of syllables.
Bah. Yet another made-up boy name with an x that ends in -en. This trend has been going on for 30+ years now and hopefully it will end soon.
Side effects may include nausea, dizziness and obnoxiousness.
Really like it!
That's not my style.
But if someone *has* to invent a name that looks and sounds "kinda" like a surname and "kinda" like a first name, but not really like either, and unfamiliar ... like Paxton, Dexter, Tristan but not ...
I'm not sure they could do a lot better than something like Trexten.
It actually does seem pretty unique and memorable - while avoiding seeming novel or interesting or difficult or ridiculous or eccentric. Except that it's invented, and there's that flimsiness. But the T. rex in it, I dunno, that's a little bit funny and cute. IF you're going to name someone this way, might as well not take it all too seriously.
I can picture my kid dating a kid named Trexten, and myself not batting an eye when he was introduced. It'd be such a relief that it's not Trixtin or Traxton, honestly.
Oh and it reminds me a little of Dresden which is a vgp for me.

It sounds like some kind of medicine, like you'd take it for high blood pressure.
It sounds cool, but then I think of Braxton, which I hate solely because of how harsh it sounds. 6/10.
