I really like Tempest, but I also like to watch storms. Tempest suggests power, wild, untamable passion, and chaotic beauty. It is also dangerous and destructive, so I wouldn’t use it as a first name. Shakespeare’s “Tempest” is a complex and mystical story with multiple post colonial interpretations. As master manipulator, Prospero is both the hero and villain, but many of the most powerful lines belong to Ariel (the only native to the island since Caliban’s mother had been shipwrecked witch) and Caliban, who is both oppressed and an oppressor. For me the association of the play is a bonus, but for others it might be considered too morally ambiguous and divisive.

I dislike it because of the word "pest" seeming to jump out at me. And it reminds me of tempest in a teapot, which makes it seem frivolous. And I think of Shakespeare, which isn't a very positive association for me.

I’m on and off with Tempest. I love the strength and power behind it. It’s a very cool name, and I really like how it looks. But I’m not too sure about the sound. I don’t know if I can imagine having a little Tempest.

I wholly dislike it. My main issue is that a tempest is a negative thing, being a violent storm and all that.Since I have nothing positive to say I'll suggest Artemis, Septima, Timothea, Timea, or maybe even Temperance as nice alternatives.
