Yes, I can see in entering the top 20 because how common it has been lately for celebrities and the fact that the name just seems like it would be a popular one, given the fact that people love common mythology names. I think it may turn out to be one of those common names that eventually becomes dated, due to the source of the names popularity.
I personally prefer Parthenope due to the fact that it is also mythological and the meaning is slightly less weird then Penelope and also the fact that it has less of a trendy sound, but Penelope isn't a bad name at all. It was 27 last year, so it might become trendy.

Parthenope is a great name. Too bad it doesn't have as obvious nn choices as Penelope though.
