I enjoy he gentle fricative consonance of the letter "p" which shapes the sonorities of the long & short "e" vowels which follow it.
I hear the name Penelope like a single musical phrase - rather than a word segmented into specific syllables; the softly alternating consonants which ever so gently pronounce each following vowel just roll with sonority of the vowel with precedes it. Penny is a perfect nickname.
