[Opinions] Hecuba
I've always low-key liked it, and it came to mind recently, probably because I've been liking Hypatia and Hector.
I created a poll for it a few days ago: http://www.behindthename.com/polls/290787
What would you think if you met someone named Hecuba?

I would think her parents were classicists who enjoyed Homer and were bold with their naming.
I dislike the sound. I don't like the "cube" part.

Hecuba is kind of awesome. It definitely has that witch vibe to it, perhaps because it reminds me of Tituba (one of the accused at Salem) and sounds a bit like Hex, which would make a hilarious yet cool nickname.
I would be excited to see Hecuba, but only because it's unusual. I wouldn't quite know what to make of her parents choice.

I mainly associate it with geometry and Hamlet.
It's interesting to me that several people think of witches, but I'd guess that's related to...
-it sounds similar to Hecate and Hephzibah, both of which I do associate with witches
-hec sounds like heck aka hell
-Hecuba from the Iliad was a tragic figure
-it's rare and mythological
I like Hecuba nn Hex for a cat or a goat...it's about the right mix of dignified and mischievious.

I’m not a big fan of it. It has no meaning and the sound is a bit awkward imo.
I'd refuse any food she might offer me, and I'd keep an eye out for snakes and toads. The name sounds like a wicked witch's name ...
Or a mangling of the pseudo-swear heckuva.

That she is a Satanist and changed her name to Hecuba because she is a Satanist. Sounds really witchy.

I'm going with G. Runner up, C. She's more serious about it than A, B, E, and F, but not as serious as D.
