I like it but I don’t think I have the guts to use it in real life. It sounds more masculine to me but i think it could work for a girl too.

It's personally not my style, but I'm fine with it for either sex.

Phoenix is technically my second favourite boys name, although I wouldn’t actually use him for reasons I won’t go into since they don’t affect this response. I adore the hope and optimism of the name, the magic and soft, gentle feel. Phoenix sounds intelligent and thoughtful, and I love that. I used to loath (and I mean really hate) Phoenix for a girl, but I can sort of see it now. It comes across differently to me though, more strong, fiery, and feisty. I still definitely prefer it for a boy.

I think it’s really neat for both boys and girls. I think I like it more for a girl, but it works for either. It’s like Phoebe and Felix combined.

Don’t like it at all as a name. It’s a city and a mythological bird, but it’s hard to see it as a human name (and this is after meeting several people named Phoenix). Maybe I’m being too harsh here, not trying to be unfair. I just don’t care for it.

Actually, both of them it is a great neutral name, I'd think I would like it more for a girl because it's not too feminine and not too masculine just perfect.

Don't really like it, but it's ok. I teach a nice kid named Phoenix, he's 17. I can't stand it on a girl.. it's so harsh and masculine.
