Boys middle names aren't wildly exciting either.
I've counted over 4500+ boys BAs so far this year and 8% of them have the middle name James (with 5% being Michael and 4% being Lee).
Marie, Rose, and Grace are the top 3 middle names for girls, at 7%, 6%, and 5% respectively.

I agree. People are so boring. Even my parents said they couldn't think of what name would pair well with my first name so just chose a filler. Blah!
