An acting colleague of mine just announced the birth of his daughter, Gemma. She joins older brother Finn. (Middle name for both seems to be mother's maiden name.)WDYT? I like the set! I'm just worried Gemma will have to correct people calling her Emma all the time.***Please rate my personal name lists:www.behindthename.com/pnl/69381

I like Gemma far more than Emma. Gemma has more spunk.Gemma and Finn are a nice sibset. I like Flynn better, but Finn is nice too.

It’s not bad, but I’ve never really been a big fan of Gemma. I *know* it’s a classic and has been used for centuries, but it just *sounds* trendy and youthful to me. It’s entirely subjective, though, and objectively the name won’t cause any problems.
