[Opinions] Diana
Recently met someone (a young adult) with this name. I’ve always kind of considered it a “non-young name” but I’m starting to think it may be ready for a comeback. WDYT of the name Diana, and what would you pair with it? Also what about Diane?

I like it pronounced Dee-ana rather than Day-ana. It does sound rather dated tbh.
When Diane was trending, Diana was probably viewed as the older, stuffier name. Now, however, Diane is becoming dated, and Diana is younger. (I went to school with a few Dianas, no Dianes.)
Diana is a lovely name, on my shortlist one of the name ideas is Diana Grace, or Diana Leigh, also it is my middle and I've always loved it, I have yet to meet someone with the same middle name as me, I suppose it's less common in that spot, but even as a first I don't meet too many of them, just here and there every once in a blue moon
Diana is pretty much a classic, though not one that got a lot of use till say, the middle of the 20th century. I think it's pretty ageless, actually; I wouldn't be surprised to meet a little Diana or a Grandma Diana. I think it's a very attractive name.
Not so Diane. Diane feels much more dated and middle-aged, though it makes a fair middle name.
Diana Raquel
Diana Marguerite
Diana Joy
Diana Faye
Diana Brooke
Diana Whitney (this sounds very classy, like a socialite's full name.)
Diana Leigh

Diana Leigh and Diana Grace are both on my short list :) it is a lovely name, my own middle
I like Diana well enough to have on my PNL, but I prefer Diandra and Diantha, both of which are on my PNL, also. They both have everything that Diana has, but also a little bit more.
There is so little reason to dislike Diane while liking Diana that I know that when anyone does, it's because Diane is dated and nothing else really.

I used to really dislike Diana and Diane - I thought they were quite dated and of my mum's generation (she's 60 now, I'm in my 20s).
Wonder Woman has helped my perception of Diana and everytime I hear/read the name I'm training myself to associate it with Gal Gadot's kickass heroine because it's such an awesome namesake. I still can't get behind Diane; it's still dated to me and doesn't have the spunk Diana does.

I used to have a girl named Diana in my grade. She hated being vcalled Die-anna and said her name as dee-ah-nuh. She was named after the goddess. Though it didn't like her much for some reason, I think the name is good. Very classic and pretty.
I really love the name Diana, although saying that I would never use it because it doesn’t go with other names I like so it would sound out of place. I would use it as a middle name though, I would use Ivy Diana or Elizabeth Diana. I think Diana is ready for a comeback.
As for Diane I think it’s a lot more dated and I doubt it’ll have a comeback anytime soon.

I love Diana, it was in my top ten for a long time. It’s still a favorite, just not as high up. I’ve always really liked the combo Beatrice Diana. It’s better as a middle name, I think, because it’s one of those names that’s a lot nicer on paper than in practice. But it is so, so nice on paper. Hmm. Ruth Diana. Miriam Diana. Josephine Diana.
Diane is alright. Less sparkly, more dated, but not terrible.
