Hubby brought up the name Wallace again yesterday.

I really do love it and so does he. I think Wally is such a sweet nickname.

I don't know if it really fits well with Theodora. I wonder if they are too different sounding. Especially since if we have a boy, his second middle name will be Stewart, so I wonder if it's too strongly scottish sounding against Greek Theodora.

I adore Wallace. I think it's so charming and friendly. Wally is a great nickname. I think it sounds very distinguished with Theodora!

My favorite of your combos is Wallace Ignatius Stewart.

Theodore and Wallace fit perfectly in my opinion.

I like Wallace. I went to primary school with a boy named Wallace and it worked well. I dislike Wally just because it is a term for a silly person that is used frequently in my own family (e.g. "He was being a bit of a wally...") but I think Wallace itself is handsome. I also think it sounds nice with Theodora. Wallace Ignatius Stewart is my favorite of the combos.

Not a fan. :( I know we typically like a lot of the same names, but I just don't like it for some reason. I do like Walter and Wally.

Of your combos, I think all except Wallace Wilfred Stewart are too heavy on the s sounds.

I think Theodora & Wallace sound fine together. I think vintage before Greek when it comes to Theodora, and Wallace has a similar historic feel. Wallace Caspian Stewart is my favourite combo (unsurprisingly), but I think Wallace Ptolemy Stewart would be awesome too (if I remember correctly Ptolemy was on your list at some point?). I like Wally as a nn too.

I do love Ptolemy, but I worry that it's too pretentious and people would roll their eyes (and not be able to spell it) but Wallace Ptolemy Stewart sounds awesome

I actually wondered why Ptolemy wasn't in the list of combos, too. :)

I think it'd contrast Wallace and Stewart nicely, and it'd even tie in more with Theodora (being Greek).

It is kind of out there, but that's less of an issue with middle names.

I think Theodora and Wallace works fine. My favorite combos are Wallace Ignatius Stewart and Wallace Wilfred Stewart. Sure there is a couple of W's in the last combo but I don't mind as it still has a nice flow to it.

I think it's a nice sound. I really like Wallis, as a feminine name. I'm lukewarm on Wallace, though...it seems very ordinary without actually being common, which could be a likable quality, or not (maybe depending on middle name choice?). I think it's fine with Theodora. Wally and Theo / Dora would be cute.

I don't like it with Stewart, but, I don't like Stewart to begin with. I think most of the combos listed are S heavy. My favorite is Wallace Ignatius.

Personally, I love the name Wallace. I love the name Wallace Caspian Stewart the best, but that's just my opinion.

You mentioned Wally being a nickname for Wallace. Do you use a nickname for Theodora?

Ultimately, try calling "Wally, Theodora" out loud as though you are calling them for dinner. If it sounds natural, then go for it. If it doesn't, you either have to be okay with that (not everyone's names have to flow) or you have to go back to the drawing board.

Theodora gets a few different nicknames from different people! I don't shorten her name, my husband calls her Theo (as does my grandfather and some of our friends), some of her little friends call her Dora, my mum calls her Thea, and she calls herself Dordor, Theodora or Theodordor lol.

Okay, if you call her Theodora, then go ahead with thinking (and saying) "Theodora and Wally"

Something that might make it flow better would be to say 'Wally, Theodora"

Your husband calls her Theo. Theo and Wally sounds totally cute!

I think Wally will work well with Theodora as well as her many nicknames.

I on-and-off like Wallace. I don't really care for Wally, which is the main reason it goes off for me.

I wouldn't think anything of a sibset of Theodora and Wallace. I'd think the parents liked off-beat classics. Many couples have multiple backgrounds, so I don't feel like people can only take names from one origin.

I like the first three combos best, with Wallace Caspian being my favorite. Wallace Rufus I like least, I don't like that they both have two syllables and end in -s.
