I don't think Alice and Beatrice are too similar for siblings. Lots of people have two daughters with names both ending in 'a' so too names ending with an 's' sound should be fine.
Alice reminds me of "Alice in Wonderland," and Beatrice brings to mind the works of Beatrice Potter. They are both cute and literary together with a classic vibe.
