Help[Opinions] Nadette
Recently I posted a poll about my name and found that most liked my first name but hardly anyone liked my middle name (Nadette/nuh-det) and I was actually pretty surprised about that, so I wanted to hear people's honest opinions about what they don't like about it. I've thought of Nadette as a diminutive of Bernadette but truthfully I don't know where it originates exactly.
Please respond politely, not just because it is my name but because I've seen some rather rude responses that in my opinion were unwarranted in this forum.

I like it it's something I'd definitely use. I love -ette ending names such as Georgette, Colette, Cosette, etc. I also love the name Nadia & Nadela so this fits within those categories. I really do like it. People can be rude online it's not much fun but I am a big fan of this name. :)

This is the first time that I hear Nadette.
Obviously I know the name Bernadette and It probably comes from It.
But It could be also a form of Nadia: the French form is Nadège shortened as Nadine. -ine and -ette are both common diminutives in French so Nadette could be a variant of Nadège imo.
I like many -ette names: Colette, Georgette, Odette, Rosette, Violette, Babette, Cosette, Arlette...
As I'm not enough familiar with Nadette I can't say now if I like It or not. But as you can see I adore this sound.
