Today the name is Firdaus.
It is a masculine, Persian name which means 'paradise' ultimately 'garden'.
I love its sound and look!
Its sound is so sophisticated and harmonious but also simple to write.
It is one of my favourite Persian nane.

I prefer Firdaws, the female version of this name.
I really like Firdaws actually.
Firdaus is cool, but it's second to the female form.
I don't like any other names that mean "paradise."

I really like the name Firdaus! It is not a name that I have encountered before, but it has a positive meaning, is fairly easy to pronounce, and seems like it would translate well across cultures.
I would have to read the 'Shahnameh' before really considering using it, but Firdaus holds its own with other paradise associated names like Elysia and Eden. What do you think of a sibling set of Firdaus and Elysia?
