What comes to mind when you hear of a baby named Josefina, whose parents come from Mediterranean background?

It doesn’t sound Mediterranean to me, it sounds Hispanic.

The only image I ever get from Josefina is my daughter's American Girl doll, Josefina Montoya. She represents a girl living in the 1820's in what would later become New Mexico.
I think she's one of the most beautiful AG dolls out there.
