I agree with Felie, it seems obscure and archaic, or 19th century.
And agree a little bit with Martha - I get that obscure-Bible-name rural vibe.
Mostly it just reminds me of names like that that seem to be getting popular, though, like Isaiah and Josiah and Levi and Ezekiel and Jonah and Judah. And it's a Ry name - Bryson, Ryder, Riley.
So I feel like it could as well be the Jared of the 2020s.
Not my style at all.

I'm not a fan, but that's just me.
My first instinct is that it looks like a girl's name in a low-quality low-end self-published fantasy novel with a picture of a half-naked man on the cover and a name like "Forbidden Blood - ***** hott scortching vampire romance!".
My second thought is that it's biblical, but not in a cool, interesting or endearing way, not even in a so-clunky-it's-cool way.
I very much dislike the look and sound. If it had a cool nickname, maybe it could be salvaged, but the only nickname I can think of is Jeri, which is...eh...not my cup of tea.Of course, I'm not saying it's hideous, and if you like it, you do you. I just could never say I personally like it.

I like it, but then I do love Biblical names and j names! The meaning is great. Reminds me of a mix of Jeremiah or Jeremy and Neriah.

In my imagination, Jeriah would be a snake handler in a Pentecostal church in deepest Appalachia. In other words, it sounds a little too much like an extremist religious person would choose it/bear it.

Seems a bit truncated - missing the -em- in the middle! Nice enough meaning, but really not to my taste, besides which it will shorten to Jerry within minutes and I don't enjoy Jerry at all.
